At the hospital setting, patients are directed to the physicians who assess their health. The diagnosis is according to the signs and symptoms they say to have or according to the tests conducted on them. The physician prescribes the treatment and hands the patient over to the nurses. At hospital, it is observed that the nurse administer the medication prescribed by a physician, the nurses engage the patient in the treatment prescribed for them. They advise them on how to take the medicine and clearly indicate to them the times the medicine is to be taken and the dosage. To avoid cases of non-adherence to medication, they educate the patients on the importance of following the instructions given on the dosage. At the hospital, nursing students are also trained in the real application of the classroom theory that they learn. They are involved in the provision of services to the patients with the supervision and direction of the nurses. At the hospital, therefore, education and training is offered besides the healthcare services.
The hospital may also invest more in the backing of health education and give support to their workers. Moreover, rural individuals accessing healthcare in rural facilities face barriers to healthcare such as fewer doctors, hospitals and health resources in generation and face difficulty in accessing health services.
