Your draft should have:

1) Introduction: (1) whom do you represent; (2) what do you want the court to do; (3) why should the court do it

2) Statement of Facts: You must write the facts IN YOUR OWN WORDS such that they persuasively support your side. This does NOT mean ignoring facts that hurt your or denying their existence or making them up

3) Argument:

a. One sentence statement of why you win – should incorporate the main issue

b. Identify the element of the offense (and definitions)

c. Apply the facts that support each element to that element

d. State the reason why you win

4) Conclusion: State again why you win
